GETTING STARTED
Accessing ICT services at the Redeemer’s University is simple and easy. Staff and students can use the computing facilities located around the campus. A RUN Account is required to access these facilities.
Once you have obtained your account details - a username and password - you can log on and use University ICT facilities - don't forget to change your password the first time you log in. Please note that passwords must be at least 8 characters long with at least 1 numeric character included and one upper case character. All staff and students are bound by the Redeemer’s University ICT Ethics Policy. Study the ICT Ethics Policy.
BRINGING A PC
You can connect to the Redeemer’s University network with a computer or wireless device (e.g., PDA, Laptop), you should register its MAC address in ICT Department, at Block A Room 5. You need to register your computer or device in other to receive an IP address from the campus network service. ICT Department would assist you in the configuration.
RUN USERNAME/EMAIL ACCOUNT
RUN accounts are available to colleges, staff, and students. An account can be opened for you in the information and Communication Technology's office, at block A Room 5. Your account will normally be available within twelve hours.

If you need assistance on any of the following services - Networking, Hardware, Administrative, Software and Portal, please call: 1208, 1209, 1231, 1309, 1310 or 1325 and leave a message. The ICT Help Desk provides assistance with questions or problems concerning connecting to RUN Portal, the campus data network. Staff assists with email clients, web browsers, certain desktop applications and remote access issues.
Some Computer labs are available to all students, free of charge. The labs features includes: word processing, spreadsheet and instructional software, as well as access to the internet & other resources. Staff in the labs are generally familiar with software in the lab and can provide assistance on a walk-in basis.
Network Access
Our goal is to make access to the network as simple as possible. You can obtain a hostname and IP address from the ICT Office. Network access is limited to on-campus users.
