DIVISIONS UNDER THE REGISTRY
(A) OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Registry is headed by the Registrar. He is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day-to-day administration work of the University. He is also the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.

The Office of the Registrar coordinates the activities of the following Divisions of the Registry:

(B) ACADEMIC AFFAIRS DIVISION
This division is responsible to the Registrar for:
  1. The administration of all University examinations, keeping and updating of all University examination regulations;
  2. Admission matters and the keeping of students records;
  3. Co-ordination of the academic functions of all College Officers;
  4. The arrangements for Matriculation and Graduation Ceremonies.
(C) HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
This division provides the following services:
  1. General assistance to the Registrar on all personnel matters;
  2. Coordination of Academic staff appointments, Non-Teaching Senior staff appointments and Junior staff appointments;
  3. Secretarial assistance to the Registrar for the Appointments and Promotions Committee (Academic), Appointments and Promotions Committee (Admin. & Tech.) and Appointments and Promotions Committee (Junior staff);
  4. Review of all petitions relating to appointments, promotions and advancement of all members of staff for the consideration of relevant University authorities;
  5. Responsible for posting and transfer of Senior Non-Teaching Staff;
  6. Preparation and up-dating of nominal roll for all Academic and Senior Administrative and Technical Staff;
  7. Matters relating to study leave, annual leave, annual increment, leaving of absence, training leave, maternity leave, salary advances and allowances;
  8. Responsible to the Registrar for up-dating and interpreting the RUHSS 06 and above;
  9. Responsible for the reception and internal deployment of NYSC members deployed to the University.
(D) COUNCIL AFFAIRS AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATION DIVISION
The division carries out the following functions:
  1. Resposible to the Registrar for the Board of Trustees (BOT), Council, the Finance and General Purposes Committee, Tenders Board matters and Congregation;
  2. Registration of Constractors and Consultants;
  3. Responsible for Inaugural and other University Public activities (Lecturers, Staff Forum etc.);
  4. Liaison with the Works and Physical Planning Directorate on all University property;
  5. Co-ordination of University courier and postal services;
  6. Issuing of Car Stickers etc.;
  7. Liaison with other division of the Registry and service departments such as the Health Centre, Bursary, Guest Houses, etc.;
  8. Liaison with other Nigerian Universities and in particular with other private Universities on matters relating to Committee of Registrars and Committee of Vice Chancellors;
(E) STUDENTS' AFFAIRS DIVISION
  1. Responsible for Students' Association matters, students' identification and for matters relating to students activities
  2. Responsible for Students counselling and career matters and for students' orientation activities and matriculation; and;
  3. Responsible for Students' activities relating to Convocation for the award of degrees.
(F) LEGAL DIVISION
  1. The Legal Affairs division is responsible to the Vice Chancellor / Registrar on matters pertaining to Legal and other incidentals.
(G) COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION
The College office is headed by a Dean, while the College Officer is in charge of the administration of the College office. Among other functions, the College office is responsible for the following:
  1. Secretarial support to the College Board of Examiners/Board of Studies;
  2. Responsible for all College property and the day to day maintenance and cleanliness of the College premises;
  3. Supervision of College Staff i.e. all those allocated in the Deans's office including all Secretarials Staff, Clerical Officers, Office Assistants, etc;
  4. Registration of Fresh Students;
  5. Keeping of students records within the College;
  6. Assistance to the Academic Affairs Division with regard to the administration of University Examinations within the College;
  7. Staff welfare (including External Examiners and other official visitors to the College);
  8. Provision of effective assistance to the Dean with respect to official correspondence.
