DIVISIONS UNDER THE VICE CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE
(A) OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR
The office of the Vice Chancellor is headed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oyewale Tomori. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the University, responsible to the Governing Bodies and Council for the day-to-day administration of the University.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor coordinates the activities of the following units under his office:

(B) RESOURCE MOBILIZATION AND LINKAGES UNIT
This unit is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for:
  1. Assisting the Vice Chancellor in dealing with matter concerning linkages with other institution (especially international).
  2. To assist the University in identifying / searching for the donors and make contact with such for support.
  3. To assist the University in seeking for grants from organization.
  4. Ensuring the effective co-ordination of endowment and fund raising activities of the University.
  5. Any other assignment as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
  6. Secretary, Committee on Resource Mobilization and Linkage.
(C) PROTOCOL AND INFORMATION UNIT
This division provides the following services:
  1. Production of Official News Bulletin;
  2. Media monitoring and relation;
  3. Liaise with external bodies;
  4. Writing of letters and draft address / speeches;
  5. Secretary, Publication Committee;
  6. Secretary, Ceremonial Committee;
  7. Any other duties assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
(D) INTERNAL AUDIT UNIT
This unit within the University that measures and evaluates the effectiveness of controls. The main objectives of the Unit is to assure management that the internal checks and the accounting system are effective in design and in operation and to add some degree of validity and credibility to the accounts and record of the University by eliminating or reducing distortion of facts cause by self-interest, carelessness and dishonesty. the functions of the Internal Audit can be summarized as follows:
  1. To review, evaluate and report on the adequacy or otherwise of the financial control framework existing in the University and its efficiency in assuring the security, completeness and accuracy of the University activities and transactions.
  2. To carry out a complete and continuous audit of the accounts and records of revenue, expenditure, stores and other properties to evaluate whether actual performance is within the established financial control framework.;
The Internal Audit has the responsibility of establishing whether:
  1. The management policies are executed at the right time
  2. The safeguards introduced for the prevention or prompt detection of fraud or loss of cash or stores or other properties are adequate
  3. The system for the control of the collection of revenue is adequate
  4. The system for the control of expenditure is adequate and that all payments made are properly authorized and correct.
  5. There are adequate means of verifying all cash, stores and property.
Internal Audit also acts as management control tool to:
  1. Provide an assurance to management that the financial information furnished to management to aid decision making is reliable, accurate and based on reliable records.
  2. Draw the attention of management to deficiencies in the University or system of internal control and to highlight areas of management practices requiring corrective action.
  3. To assist the external auditor(s) as may be required.
  4. To check all payment vouchers emanating from any section of the University before payments are made.
(E) INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) UNIT
The Information and Communication Technology is a Unit under the Vice Chancellor’s Office responsible for the managing, maintaining, and administering of the University Information and Communication services.

The following are services provided, managed, maintained and administered:

  1. Networking of the entire University campus
  2. Installation of Hardware and Software on PC’s
  3. Developing of Software for internal and external use.
  4. Developing and maintaining  of the University website
  5. Mounting and Installation of network servers.
  6. Installation and maintaining of University Internet facilities.
  7. Providing Information and Communication Technology consultancy services.
  8. Organizing Information and Communication Technology training for staff and students.
  9. Providing Information  and Communication Technology equipment inventory.
  10. Providing Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) Services.
  11. Providing CyberCafe Services

(F) WORKS AND PHYSICAL PLANNING
This unit is headed by the Director of Works and Physical Planning, responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the managing and maintaining of Civil and Physical Works of the University.

(G) SECURITY UNIT
In co-operation with other sections and departments of the Campus Environment, the University security is working to fulfill the mission of protecting lives and property and creating a campus environment where, teaching, learning, research and community work can take place in a conducive atmosphere.

This unit is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the following:
  1. To protect persons through pro-active Law enforcement and promoted a safe and secure environment
  2. To address issues that impede or disrupt the orderly operation of the academic activities
  3. To protect the institution's property through the education of the campus community on the crime prevention methods. Where a crime had been committed to initiate police action, after all avenues within the campus has been exhausted.
  4. To minimize liability and hazards to the institution.
