Welcome to Redeemer's University Security System. We carry out Security duties which include bits, patrols, crowd control, crime prevention duties as well as the investigation of crimes occurring on campus. Investigations within the campus include those made in connection with breaches of staff and student disciplinary codes.

In addition to the above, we provide a fire prevention service, undertake traffic and parking control and are also involved in workplace safety. It is hereby important to point out that we place emphasis on prevention and service and not to be pro- active and not be reactive in operations.

In carrying out our duties, we are working in close co- operation with other government agencies, especially Nigeria Police Force and Fire Services.

Breaches of Security System in some cases may go beyond what we can be dealt with the University System. In such an occasion, we may have to call in the police. This is one situation we do not want to occur.

To maintain discipline and prevent the break down of law and order on campus, we are strictly  following the staff- student disciplinary procedures and guideline.

Stop and search of all persons and luggage to prevent the pilfering and stealing of office equipment.

In case of reported stealing or pilfering, the security staff is vested with the power of arrest, search and seizing as permitted by law.

The University is obliged to publish on a regular basis the crime status to guide the campus security policy.

Other offences may be added from time to time by the authorities of the University.
