Objectives of the College

  • Teaching and dissemination to the students adequate and current knowledge of management and social science principles, concepts, models and theories, as well as methodology, in all its dynamics and flexibility, as an approach for investigating and conducting research on social issues and problems.
  • Development in the students appreciation and understanding of management and social issues, policies and problems at the various levels of the Nigerian society and the global society.
  • Development in the students the requisite ability for objective and critical jugdement, based on good observation, understanding, analysis and synthesis of socio-economic, spatio-political, financial, environmental and psychological dimensions of the problems of the society.
  • Creating an enabling environment that will help the students acquire and develop values that are in consonance with hard-work, probity, accountability, self-esteem, discipline, patriotism, self-reliance, creativity, entrepreneurship and respect for the sights of others in the society.
  • Preparing the students to fit into various fields of human endeavour both in the private and public sectors of the economy, especially for effective functioning in this information technology/digital world of work and interaction.
  • Preparing the students adequately for graduate studies in the management/social sciences and associated disciplines within and outside Nigeria.

Miss Oguntulu Motunrayo, RUN student, from the Dept of Actuarial Science, emerged the best in Insurance Underwriting process in the 2007/2008 Professional Insurance Certificate course.
