PASTOR ADEBOYE URGES 2009 RUN AMBASSADORS TO EVANGELIZE FOR CHRIST

The Visitor to the Redeemer’s University (RUN), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has urged the 2009 RUN Ambassadors to evangelize for Christ even if they were not Pastors. Pastor Adeboye made this remark on Saturday October 3, 2009 at the first Convocation for the award of degrees of the Redeemer’s University , held at the RCCG Youth Centre, Redemption Camp. Pastor Adeboye thanked God for making the first convocation a reality. He told the gathering at convocation venue that Redeemer’s University was not an end in itself but a means to an end.

Pastor Adeboye noted that Redeemer’s University was established to restore academic excellence in Nigerian Universities, Godliness to Nigeria and living examples of purity and holiness to the body of Christ. He further noted that the graduates were part of the fulfillment of RUN vision. He said that he closely monitored the graduates and came to the conclusion that they were very good set.

He advised the graduates not to hide their light but to let their light shine to the world. In his words, “RUN has produced you, RUN is a good University, go now and demonstrate to the World that you are the best”. He noted that “the fact that you survive in RUN mean you would excel during your Youth Service, in your place of work and anywhere you find yourselves in the world”.

Finally, he advised the graduates to be well connected to God so that they will be lifted to higher level.
